Repair work on Kulm in full swing

The past winter was something special even for alpine conditions. Days of snowfall and meter-high amounts of new snow everyday, and as beautiful as the white gold was, it caused so many problems in daily life. One of the biggest ski jumps in the world, the Kulm, was one of the spots where the masses of snow caused great damage in the inrun. After the snow melt in spring, the real extent became apparent. Unbelievable, which forces were set free! According to our calculations, there were about 600 cubic meters of snow, which pushed and broke the sidewalls and the inrun. As we already installed the Master Track on the Kulm, the Austrian Ski Federation assigned us with the repair work of the inrun. For about two weeks now we have been working hard to get the track back in shape for the official FIS inspection and certification, which will take place in mid-September. So that nothing more stands in the way for the official ski flying event at the Kulm in February! Yours sincerely, Peter Riedel
