What a Four Hills Tournament that was! Never before in the history of the tournament a nation has been as dominant as the Austrians this year. From the first jump, head coach Andi Widhölzl's team was one hundred percent ready. The mix of experienced athletes and young, promising talents proved to be the key, with the red-white-red eagles pushing each other to new heights. For the first time since Stefan Kraft in 2015, an Austrian is at the top again in ten years - congratulations Daniel Tschofenig!
I am really happy for the Austrian team, especially because the athletes are all great personalities. Despite their fame, they have stayed down to earth and are sociable and friendly characters. This makes me even more disappointed that I couldn't be there live this year due to my knee surgery. But you can be sure that I watched every minute live on TV.
At the same time, we are extremely proud that three of the four tour stops are equipped with our Master Track and that we have thus been able to make a small contribution to the success of this great product. Especially with such a major competition program, it is mandatory to create fair conditions from the first to the last jumper - with our patented technology, this is exactly what is possible.
And with the test facility in Ramsau am Dachstein, which we have been operating together with the Austrian Ski Association for 10 years, we have hopefully also been able to make a small contribution to the success of the red-white-red eagles in sporting terms!
Keep it up, Ski Austria Ski Jumping, you are truly unique!
Best wishes,
Peter Riedel
