Strategic partnerships are essential to be successful in sport, but also as an entrepreneur. That is why Peter Riedel GmbH relies on a strong partner when it comes to cooling systems. We are talking about the international company Daikin. Daikin is the world's leading specialist when it comes to air conditioning and cooling systems as well as heat pumps.
Peter Riedel, manufacturer and producer of innovative inrun track systems for ski jumping, and Daikin have been working together for over six years and are jointly conquering new areas of application.
In order to be able to guarantee the same and fair conditions in the inrun track of a ski jump from the first to the last ski jumper, the ice blocks must be constantly cooled. These ice blocks are 13.5 cm wide, 7 cm thick and up to 105 meters long. It is therefore a particular challenge for a cooling device to provide the same cooling performance everywhere along the inrun track. The new Dakin EWAT021CZH-A1 is used for this. A state-of-the-art chiller that constantly cools the two blocks to -14 degrees.
This cooling device has already been installed in over 35 systems worldwide, with the latest generation in Trondheim and Oslo. These new devices stand out from their predecessors primarily with their more efficient cooling performance, but also with the latest data information systems.
For the first time, the ice data (cooling temperature, ice temperature, outside temperature) from both ski jumps will be made available online for service staff, trainers and athletes at the Nordic Ski World Championships in Trondheim. We will also be offering the same service at the World Cup in Oslo in a week.
All of this is made possible by the good and very close cooperation between CEO Peter Riedel and Heiko Kießling from Daikin Airconditioning Germany. Together, the two configured the DAiKIN EWAT021CZH-A1 cooling system with precise parameters in order to achieve the best results.
Good cooperation is vital for such large projects, only then can such exceptional achievements be achieved.
