The Oberwiesenthal Volunteer Fire Department is celebrating its 150th anniversary! If that's not a reason to celebrate.

Unfortunately, their work is far too often taken for granted, so I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all volunteers for their valuable work! It's incredible what you do. Without your voluntary contributions, our fire and rescue system would never function. You more than deserve a lavish celebration for your anniversary!

Sebastian Mayerhöfer, Falk Haberecht, Grundram Kraus, and all the rest…You are always there when there's a fire or a helping hand is needed. We can't thank you enough for that. Even though I can't be there this time and am mentally celebrating with you from my rehab, I am extremely proud to be a sponsor and supporter of the Oberwiesenthal Volunteer Fire Department.
