Press Information Forum Nordicum Seefeld 2018

Dear ladies and gentlemen, dear participants of the Forum Nordicums 2018, dear Nordic family!

On the occasion of the Forum Nordicum 2018 we would like to hand out this press release with the latest company news. A lot of things were going on in the recent weeks and months, and not only in the field of inrun tracks. Furthermore the Peter Riedel GmbH is exploring new territories…..

Master track on Bergisel and Bischofshofen:
With the Bergisel and the ski jumping hill in Bischofshofen, the last two venues of the Four Hills Tournament are now equipped with Peter-Riedel tracks. The new track on the historic Bergisel was completed in October 2017, Bischofshofen joined in May 2018 in the reference list of Peter Riedel GmbH. For the president of the Four Hills Tournament, Johann Pichler, an important step: "With the new track we minimize the risk and have even more security in the organization of the event. Even with plus degrees, as we often have had here in early January, still a fair jumping is possible. The Four Hills Tournament is one of the highlights in the World cup calendar and every athlete should find similarly fair conditions. We have come a big step closer to this with the new track system. "

Road to Seefeld 2019 - World Championships premiere for Riedel track!
World Championships premiere for the Peter Riedel Gmbh! In Seefeld 2019 for the first time a Nordic Ski World Championships competition will be held on a Peter-Riedel track. This applies to all large hill competitions, which take place at the Bergisel in Innsbruck. "It's really great that we're in World Championships for the first time. I hope we can do our part to ensure that the competitions are even safer to carry out and fairer for the athletes, "said Peter Riedel. To emphasize the World Championship commitment, the company logo of Peter Riedel GmbH will be visible in the middle of the inrun track during the entire World
Championships.

2017 as "Norwegian Year" for Peter Riedel GmbH
It's fair to say that 2017 was the "Norwegian Year" for the Peter Riedel GmbH. In January 2017, the world's largest ski flying hill, the "Monster-Bakken" in Vikersund, was equipped with a master-track inrun. Two months later, the ski flying world record was pushed into new heights with an incredible 253.5 meter jump of Austria’s Stefan Kraft. In autumn 2017, with the Holmenkollen in Oslo another prestigious object followed. Likewise in 2017, the 10th anniversary of the Riedel track was celebrated in Trondheim. Altogether there are now three hills in Norway and at the same time three stops of the "Raw Air" tour, which bet
on the advantages of a Riedel Inrun.

Ramsau gets Riedel track
The ski jumping hill in Ramsau am Dachstein gets a new Riedel inrun track. This was decided at the beginning of September. The existing facility was built in 1995 on the occasion of the Nordic Ski World Championships 1999 in Ramsau am Dachstein and since then only slightly adapted. "We have made small adaptations over and over again in recent years, but it has become increasingly difficult to obtain the certificate from the FIS. The building of the new track will enable us to position ourselves internationally as a nordic training center and to offer our athletes a modern infrastructure“, says Alois Stadlober,
the sports director of the training center Ramsau. The construction of the track is scheduled to start in May 2019.

Nordic combined athlete Franz-Josef Rehrl new Riedel testimonial
As part of the Ramsau project, Peter Riedel GmbH is also expanding its sponsorship commitment in the nordic sector. From the season 2018/19, the nordic combined athlete Franz-Josef Rehrl is the new testimonial of the Peter Riedel GmbH. Rehrl lives in Ramsau am Dachstein and is looking forward to the cooperation: "Peter Riedel stands for perfection and innovation in the ski jumping field. Two attributes that are also extremely important to us nordic combiners. I am looking forward to the cooperation with Peter Riedel and that now my home hill in Ramsau am Dachstein gets a Riedel track. The
previous track was very narrow and a bit unusual compared to modern inruns. With the ice track, we will be able to train even earlier in the fall in wintry conditions."

Peter Riedel introduces new LED system
At the beginning of October, Peter Riedel GmbH presented another innovation for the Ski Jumping sector. It is the world's first mobile LED lighting system for ski jumps. LED lighting elements are laid either next to the inrun track or between the legs of the ski jumper. With this new system, it is possible to dive the inrun track into various colors (e.g. for an organizer or sponsor) to create a unique ambience. There are no limits to the color scheme, the complete RGB color system can be displayed. The control of the LEDs is variable and can be linked with the start lamp if required. From a permanent lighting over flashing up to a "running" of the LED light behind the jumper in the inrun track various scenarios can be displayed. After presenting the LED system at the FIS autumn conference, race director Walter Hofer was enthusiastic: "A great innovation for ski jumping."

Peter Riedel on the screen - first own film production and cinema premiere
Peter Riedel travels to some of the most beautiful ski jumping facilities in the world. Last year the idea arose to portray them and to produce own image trailers for each hill. Quickly many breathtaking shots were taken, at the same pace an idea came into Peter Riedels mind: to bring these pictures on the cinema screen. The result is a video production called "Jump - the most beautiful jumping hills in the world", which has already been presented to the general public on a cinema screen. "We entered completely new territory with the film project. It makes me happy and proud that the film was a big success and that I could give
something back to the respective regions and ski jump operators with the films. It's great that so many people are interested in ski jumping and these technical monuments of winter sports, "says Peter Riedel.
