Lamy-Chappuis and Peter Riedel can’t wait for Chaux-Neuve!

RASCHAU, 8 January, 2013 – On the upcoming weekend, Jason Lamy-Chappuis will be coming to Chaux-Neuve for his home world cup, as an outstanding world cup leader and 22-times winner of a Single-world cup of Nordic combined. A few days ago, the likeable Frenchman won the competition in Schonach in the Black Forest and further extended his lead towards Magnus Moan (NOR) who was in second place. Now, Lamy-Chappuis is leading with 455 to 383 points. And in the all-time high score table of winners, he approached Felix Gottwald (AUT) except for one triumph. He holds place four with 23 wins of the day, behind Hannu Manninen (FIN/48), Ronny Ackermann (GER/28) and Bjarten Engen Vik (NOR/26).

The home competition suits Jason Lamy-Chappuis, who was never worse than second place in five competitions since 2010 and who could triumph in 2011. The fact that the world star of Nordic combined likes to compete there so much is certainly due to the thousands of fans he is able to mobilise, but also due to a perfect ski jump. After all, Peter Riedel GmbH together with its partner REHAU was in charge for the modernization a few years ago; and world champion and Olympic champion Jason Lamy-Chappuis, who won the last three overall world cups, emphasized and still emphasizes how much he likes to jump in Chaux-Neuve: because the inrun is perfect and there are no surprises, and because the employees at the ski jump are generally doing an outstanding job.

Peter Riedel, his employee Wolfang, and Thierry Dietrich of REHAU France will be on site personally in order to ensure and check the high quality of the inrun. “After the outstanding success in the Four Hills Tournament, where our inrun in Garmisch-Partenkirchen received excellent reviews from all participants, we now also want to demonstrate our quality in Chaux-Neuve”, Peter Riedel explained. “Some facilities may be more prominent than others – but to us, all are equally important, of course. This is an important part of our company philosophy!”
