Olympic Hill in Partenkirchen stays up-to-date!

RASCHAU/PARTENKIRCHEN, 26 June 2013 – One of the showcase projects of Peter Riedel GmbH, the Olympic Hill (Olympiaschanze) in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, will also be equipped with state-of-the-art technologies by the Ore Mountain-based company in the future. The Bavarians were one of the first to install the Double-Track inrun, better known as the “Riedel track”, and they did not hesitate to install the currently state-of-the-art ice mill, to order special ice cutters for an improved snow structure, or to cause a sensation at the last New Year’s ski jump competition with the Data-Track, the exclusive measuring systems by Riedel.

“This is why I am particularly delighted that now, our latest series of nubs will be installed in Garmisch-Partenkirchen”, says company-owner Peter Riedel. They are made of porcelain – “a number of field tests have proven that this is the most friction-resistant material. It is just great that this technology now also comes into effect at the Olympic Hill!” It is obvious that the operators of the ski jump are making their system even more attractive for summer training by using these nubs. As every year, the Olympic Hill will be visited by athletes from many nations for training purposes during the next few weeks and months.

Riedel is also happy about another innovation in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, even if it does not affect him directly – at least not yet. “One single contact partner will be assigned for all activities at this ski jump. This is important in order to avoid overlaps between training and event operation.”

Therefore, Mr Lorenz Setzpfand is one of the most important men in the organisation of the market town Garmisch-Partenkirchen and he can be contacted as follows: phone +49 172 7091080, email: sport@gapa.de. However, the endeavour to book one particular date would be in vain: 1 January. This date is already taken for years to come.
