In Val di Fiemme, we also met one of the most successful German ski jumpers ever! Helmut Recknagel (76), Olympic champion in 1960, world champion in 1960 and in 1962, did not miss the competitions in Italy. He was fascinated with the innovations which are promoted in the field of ski jump inrun track system on the premises of Peter Riedel and he sent his best greetings to his friend Eberhard Riedel, whit whom he competed in 1960 under the banner of the five Olympic rings in Squaw Valley. “I wish you a belated happy 75th birthday!”
