RASCHAU/ADELBODEN, 29th of April 2014 - Each time the jump hill expert Peter Riedel has to work in Switzerland, he is drawn magical to Adelboden. His father Eberhard has done there historical in 1961: the East German athlete won at one of the most historic places of alpine skiing Giant Slalom, and he remained until 2014, the only German who could manage this!

"The East German athletes and their accompanying sports political controversies have certainly contributed to the international reputation of Adelboden", says Eberhard Riedel in the book "Spuren des Erfolges", which he has written with his son Peter together. "It is clear that we have become friends for life", Peter adds. The work has taken the Adelboden community by storm, and Peter Riedel's meeting with Annerösli Zryd, also a former world-class skier and downhill world champion in 1970, went ultimately  heartily and friendly. Saxony and Adelboden are linked forever, it is said of both sides. Apparently evidence of this close relationship is the footprint of Eberhard Riedel on the "Place of Fame". The cost of the production were taken over by the owner of the Hotel Kreuz, the family Josée and Bernard Rosser those days.

Peter Riedel will soon come back to Adelboden; after all, he is professionally involved in Kandersteg with its sports-technology company. Also carrying again the "Spuren des Erfolges". "The book is very popular in Switzerland", he says satisfied "it draws a bow from the Alpine ski history of the 1960s up to the ski jumping hill construction of today."
