Raschau/Oberwiesenthal 08th 08 2014 - One year is over sice the FIS had a look at the big Fichtelbergschanze in health resort Oberwiesenthal. At this time the renovation and construction of the jumping hill was not finished and a temporary certificate was made.

This should change this year. That’s why Kurt Rehahn, president of the WSC Erzgebirge e.V., and Peter Riedel, general manager of Peter Riedel GmbH, supported the FIS-Inspection, which took place today. As member of FIS jumping hill committee Josef Slavik from the bordering country Czeck Republic came.

“The FIS-Inspection proceeded without big declarations and I think all involved could be glad, what was realized with the project jumping hill Oberwiesenthal. Now the task is to vitalize one of the modernist hills and to keep the facility in this state and in good conditions.” mentioned Peter Riedel after the inspection.

The first highlight on the completed Fichtelbergschanze will be the FIS Summer Grand-Prix from 22nd till 24th August 2014.
