Installation of new in-run track at the Ruka ski jump completed

Less than a week before the official Autumn Meeting of FIS, the installation of the new ski jumping in-run track in the Finnish winter sports center Ruka is completed. The team of the Peter Riedel GmbH installed the track in less than three weeks, already allowing a one week test-run on the new system.

Knowing that based on the rapid completion the jumping competitions of the Nordic Openings in Kuusamo are secured, the International Ski Federation FIS has all reasons to be happy. The new organizing committee in Ruka will introduce its work at the FIS Autumn Meeting, because the World Cup opener is approaching fast. Approximately 15,000 m³ of snow are on depot directly on the ski jumps, last work is still to be done on the wind nets in order to meet all requirements of FIS. Then, equipped with the latest generation of Peter Riedel in-runs, the hill will be ready for the world’s best jumpers.

"For us it was a tough fight to once again take on the Scandinavian market after our beginnings in Trondheim. I was surprised and happy to receive the Ruka order, although during the FIS Congress in Cancun a competitor seemed to be the preference. But quality and innovation obviously win through”, sais general manager Peter Riedel about the project.
