The first trainings at the Kulm are behind us and the track has passed its baptism with flying colors. Simon Ammann, Peter Prevc, Stephan Kraft and stand-in Andreas Goldberger agreed in their conclusion: The track is amazing! Goldberger for example deliberately used a far back approach position at his first jump purely because he expected punches at the entrance and exit of the radius - but there were no punches. On the contrary, the start proved to work like a highway with even acceleration.

Harald Haim, Hubert New, Alex Stoeckl, Heinz Kuttin - the list of organizers and officials, who are full of praise, is long: "These are high standards that have been set here by the Peter Riedel GmbH", said ÖSV-general secretary Klaus Leistner during the opening ceremony, at which Conchita Wurst’s performance was the unchallenged highlight. "The athletes are all very enthusiastic," said race director Walter Hofer, agreeing with the impressions. "This praise pleases us a lot and I'm proud of my team and its work," said Peter Riedel.
