K90 clubtrack ski jumping hill in Berchtesgaden pulls off completely

The most important young talent ski jumpers' and Nordic Combined competition series for the 2017/18 season kicked off with the first jumps of the DSV Youth Cup / German Cup in Berchtesgaden last weekend. For the first time, the athletes jumped from the K90 newly equipped with the clubtrack system of Peter Riedel GmbH.

“The new track in Berchtesgaden has turned out really good. It is not as curvy as before, but runs down straight and really pulls off”, Kilian Märkl from SC Partenkirchen explains enthusiastically. However, the 17-year-old ski jumper was not quite as satisfied with his jumps and places 4 and 6 in the opening competition.

“Unfortunately, I crashed during the training on Thursday and could not crouch down so deeply during the journey because of the bruises. Somehow, everything felt a bit tight,“ says Kilian. After two victories, his teammate Maximilian Goller leads the overall ranking in the J17 men's event. The young eagles will head to Switzerland for the Alpencup this weekend, before they will be jumping for victories and valuable points in the Youth Cup / German Cup from 14 to 16 September in Oberstdorf.

With the K90, Peter Riedel GmbH not only equipped the fifth and thus the last hill of the site this summer, but also the first clubtrack ski jumping hill, which complies with the FIS guidelines for normal hills. The team is currently working in Innsbruck, because the patented track system of Peter Riedel GmbH will also be part of the Bergiselschanze in Innsbruck. The completion is scheduled for mid-October.
