Children’s Four Hills Tournament in Bischofshofen

Today the third stage of this year's Children’s Four Hills Tournament took place in Bischofshofen. 98 children between the ages of 7 and 11 were fighting for the victory.

The Children's Four Hills Tournament is the largest ski jumping event for children in Europe. With stops in Berchtesgaden, Reit im Winkl, Bischofshofen and Hinzenbach, there are four stations, just like the "real" four hills tournament. At the end of the series the overall winner will be chosen. Children between the age of 7 and 11 years are eligible for participation. All the competitions take place on hills until HS48. The final of the Children's Four Hills Tournament will take place the next weekend in Hinzenbach.

But not only the respective winners had every reason to celebrate. The Children's Four Hills Tournament celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Well-known former participants of this traditional event are Michael Hayböck, Severin Freund (2000), Gregor Schlierenzauer, Markus Eisenbichler (2001), Stefan Kraft and Andreas Wellinger (2003).

The Peter Riedel GmbH, which equipped the ski jumping facility in Bischofshofen with the Master Track this spring, has been the main sponsor of the event series for the last 7 years. Especially the commitment in the youth sector is really important for Owner Peter Riedel. "It was a very nice event in Bischofshofen today with a great atmosphere. The kids are the basis for the future. And if you look at the well-known former participants of the Children's Four Hills Tournament, you see that it is worthwhile to invest properly in the next generation. Likewise I would like to mention the parents who make this possible for their children. Without the support of them an event like this never would be possible. I'm proud to be the main sponsor here."
