After a really long summer the Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined World Cup is just around the corner! All things are packed and already in the middle of the week, a two-man squad of the Peter Riedel GmbH set off to the far north. Already the journey to the Finnish village on the Arctic Circle, which is only a few kilometers from the Russian border, turns out to be adventurous. Hundreds of kilometers through Finnish forests without civilization, only a few reindeer, which stood along the street and gave the road trip a kind of romantic touch.

This year Ruka presents itself in a special way. Due to the warm weather, the much-anticipated snowfall did not happen, the normally in snow-covered landscape shimmers green. Only the jumping hill and the cross country track, which with the help of huge snow depots and artificial snow were brought into competition-ready condition, testify to the Nordic kickoff.

A special challenge for the organizer, who mastered this task in a great manner. The master-track inrun got his final touch with the milling machine on thursday - everything is done for a perfect start!

For the Peter Riedel GmbH it is the second assignment in Ruka, and already now the cooperation is secured for the next years.

All that remains is to wish the organizer and the athletes all the best for the first competitions of the season. Peter Riedel and his team keep your fingers crossed for everyone!
