From the Ore mountains to the black forest

Even if the times are anything but easy, both politically and globally, there are positive things to report from the ski jumping front. The Peter Riedel GmbH wins the bidding for the renovation of the Rothaus jumping hill in Hinterzarten! The Rothaus jumping hill is the largest of four hills in the "Adler ski stadium", which serves as an Olympic Training Base for ski jumpers and nordic combiners in the Black Forest. Hinterzarten is also internationally known as the venue for the FIS Summer Grand Prix in ski jumping.

The last project that constructor Riedel implemented in Germany was already some years ago. In fact, seven years when Peter Riedel and his team equipped the normal hill in Oberwiesenthal with a master track in 2013. The next project in his "home" Germany is very special for Riedel. "It was in 2005 in Hinterzarten that I presented my double-track module for the first time as part of the National German Championships. It is very special for me that I can equip the jumping hill there now, almost 15 years and many inrun tracks later. The circle closes itself somehow. The bidding for the project was not easy and was strongly characterized by lobbying by another provider. But thankfully, the bidding procedure in Germany is transparent and fair and I was able to win in the end. It is an honor for us that we, as a German manufacturer, will be back in Germany after seven years. I am really looking forward to the project and its implementation in the autumn of this year ”, says the “Erzgebirgler” Peter Riedel, who hardly can wait until he and his team are finally allowed to start the work in the southern Black Forest. The long winter sports tradition of the two regions surely connects - or rather - especially in times of Corona!
