For all those who work in winter sports, low temperatures and snow are one of the most important factors for their business. It is not only for this reason that we are concerned to ensure and protect them in the future. The Peter Riedel GmbH has been relying on sustainable solutions in all areas for some time already.

We rely on economical and environmentally friendly solutions for all of our products. Our cooling systems work with the latest technical and energy-efficient standards. We endeavor to use materials that are sustainable, quality-tested and that can easily be returned to the recycling cycle. Our goal is to achieve the best possible cooling performance with minimal energy consumption. On the one hand, we achieve this through our patented technology, in which the ice block itself stores the cold - and therefore less cooling power has to be added from the outside. This is how we managed to reduce the energy costs for cooling systems by more than 60% in the past 12 years!

But that’s not the only thing. Last year in Trondheim - where this weekend the Nordic Combined World Cup takes place - we installed the first ice milling machine that can be operated partially electrically.

Other companies have been stuck in development over the past decade and still rely on outdated technologies. As a result of global warming - which cannot be dismissed by hand - more and more energy is required, which in turn has a detrimental effect on the climate. A vicious circle that we escaped early on with a technological lead. Above all, the Scandinavian markets, which make up a large part of our business, are now paying a lot of attention to climate-efficient solutions and are demanding them.
