Oberstdorf - our first project in the Allgäu!

I was amazed when I received an e-mail from the ski stadium operator in Oberstdorf inviting me to a technical meeting in Oberstdorf. I immediately got in the car and drove to Oberstdorf. What followed was a very pleasant conversation with interesting content, which was characterized by mutual appreciation. The fact that the first steps for a cooperation were made just a week later was extraordinary. If only all conversations were that easy and had such a positive outcome!

Joy and gratitude - those were the first two feelings that came up in me after the confirmation of the project. Already in 2022 the two jumping hills, HS25 and HS45 in Oberstdorf should be equipped with our Clubtrack system. The longer it took before, the faster it goes now! However, it wouldn't be our hundred-first and hundred-second hill if we couldn't keep up with this pace!

What pleases me the most is that we will now be represented, after Innsbruck, Garmisch and Bischofshofen, in the last Four Hills Tournament stadium! Even if not yet on the large hill of the Audi Arena, where the stars of the circus meet every year. For now "only" on two small jumping hills…

But first we have to solve a completely different problem. The price pressure on the market is enormous, prices for steel and other raw materials are currently going through the roof. Added to this come the enormous delivery times. To compare it with ski jumping: If “immediately available” is the K point, then we have now reached the hill record by several meters above the hill size. We have our systemical partners and thanks to long-term cooperation, we receive the best possible service even in times of crisis, which we are definitely going through at the moment. All this gives us hope to be able to deliver on time even under such difficult conditions.

We also have a very clear goal when it comes to pricing. Even if the market prices go through the roof, we would like to pass on fair prices to our partners in the spirit of long-term cooperation and the motto "Live and let live".

We are doing our best to keep both - delivery date and price - as best as we can this time. For now we are really looking forward to the new project in Oberstdorf and to a good cooperation!

Yours sincerely, Peter Riedel
