Big Battle Weekend Ahead!

World Cup track support in Hinterzarten for the women skijumping, track support on the Kulm for the ski flying World Cup and at the same time acting as a tour guide for a 45-person tour group from the Ore Mountains - such a tight program is only possible with a great team!

Two employees from Peter Riedel GmbH traveled to the Kulm on Sunday to make the track suitable for ski flying. After all, the last competitions there were two years ago, so a small "revitalisation" of the inrun track is necessary. Whether it is the renewal of small assemblies, the replacement of parts or simply repairing the track. After two days of doing this, the final track milling followed on Wednesday.

Parallel to the spectacular ski flying event, we are also responsible for the track service as part of the women's ski jumping world cup in Hinterzarten. This logistical challenge is only possible with a great team that does not shy from such challenges and is willing to give everything.

When the first skijumpers leave Kulm-Bakken today, CEO Peter Riedel will arrive in a 50-seater together with a tour group. For this weekend he slips into a completely different role, the role of a tour guide. "The idea came up in 2019, when we already organized the first fan trip to the Kulm together with Lang Reisen. It was a complete success and anyone who knows me knows that I like to be together with people. I know the Kulm like the back of my hand, so the “side job” as a tour guide actually fits quite well”, says Peter Riedel.

Such a program is the best preparation and, if you will, rehearsal for the Ski Flying World Championships, which will take place at Kulm next year. However, all attention is now on the events that await us this weekend. As always, we will do our best to create the same inrun conditions from the first to the last skijumper. And that the guests of the Kulm fan trip will have an unforgettable experience. We're looking forward to it!
