Sohland gets adjustable Takeoff

With a system for height adjustment of the take-off the Peter Riedel GmbH brings a further innovation on the market of inrun track constructions.

In Sohland at the river Spree, the challenge was that the K14 as well as the K28 hills worked differently for jumping depending on age, weight and summer or winter, making it difficult to calculate the distances and flight curves. Of course, this was no an easy task for the  Peter Riedel GmbH.

It was a matter of making the hills jumpable for every age group and under the most diverse conditions. But Peter Riedel would not be a full professional in his field, he would not have the right solution ready. After meticulous planning and construction, an adjustable take-off table emerged as a solution to the problem. The last meters of the take off can be hydraulically adjusted up to 10 centimeters in height. As a result, the radius can be individually adjusted, which is decisive for the achievement of long distances. Thus, the best ski jumping conditions are guaranteed for every age, every weight, every snow situation and every inrun speed in summer and winter. The junior sport in Saxony will now find perfect training conditions in the future here. The height-adjustable take-off table is the first of its kind, only one similar system was installed by the Peter Riedel GmbH in Tschagguns in the Montafon on the K 20.

The adjustment system will be tested under competitive conditions on 15.6. at the Sachsenpokal for skijumpers. Another great advantage is that this system can be adapted and installed on other hills facing the same challenge.
